the vagabond life

So the first little while here, we were like vagabonds. We had no place to call home and we went from hotel to hotel trying to find a place to live. We were pretty pitiful for the first week and end up laughing at ourselves on multiple occasions (maybe we were going a little crazy..?) that we basically had no idea of where to live. (well we had a basic idea, but apartments we would find just weren't working out like we would have thought) So here is pictures from the vagabond life.
One of the hotels we stayed at. It was suprising to me how many dogs just roam the streets here. One of them hung around our hotel and he was so cute. We would feed him any food we had. We wish we could have taken him with us. He was just so sweet.

Curtis wanted to name him Bruce, but I said Bruno fits better. So we both would call him each a different name

chilling at our next hotel

This was our third hotel room we stayed at. It was really funny cause it had that higher section in the room, and there was just a shelf to hang up clothes. Curtis didn't quite fit. We thought we were so funny.

Us just chilling at an AM/PM (similar to a 7/11) on a day when we checked out of our hotel and needed to find somewhere to live. We used the wifi from a restaurant nearby (pitiful, right) and we got ourselves a coke and pastries for our lunch.

Apparently we are here during the rainy season and, therefore, it rains every day. It will be beautiful sunny weather one minute, then the next minute you will have dark clouds covering the sky. It makes for some really good thunderstorms. This was the view from a restaurant we went to. The clouds were very ominous.

DownTown San Jose
So downtown San Jose is very interesting. It is not all pretty and glamorous, that is for sure. I didn't take too many pictures, and now I wish I did.. (I will get some more next time) But they have this place downtown called the Centro Market and it has lots of souvineer type things and they sell like meats and fruits and vegetables. It did not smell very good toward the meet section, that's for sure. But anyways, its a great place to buy souvineers!

This is a weird half circle thing on the side of the road and these are all plastic soda bottles... I'm not quite sure what it means, or what its all about.. but very interesting to say the least..

This is the national theater

random bronze ladY??? okay!

So this was just a smaller post, probably not as exciting, because I wanted to be able to post lots of pictures of the beach adventure on my next one!! so get excited!
